Product Spotlight – MiniTest 700 Series

An intelligent digital solution for non-destructive coating thickness measurement which offer you flexibility, repeatability and mobility.

MiniTest 700 Range

These dry film coating thickness gauges offer specially designed sensors (probes) which provide excellent measurement accuracy and are insusceptible to interference.  Even variations in temperature will not affect measurement and readings remain stable to ensure a very good repeatability over the complete measuring range.

The MiniTest 700 Coating Thickness Gauge offer:

  • Above average precision and repeat accuracy
  • Temperature compensation across the entire range
  • Wear-protected, polished sensor poles
  • High immunity to electromagnetic (EMC) interference
  • Internal characteristic curve with up to 50 data points
  • Automatic compensation of the conductive value in the case of non-ferrous metals
  • Versatile sensors (probes) for varied measuring jobs.

The instrument is available in 3 versions:

  • MiniTest 725 with built-in probe is practical and versatile, ideally suited for quick measurements on car bodies, hulls or steel constructions.
  • MiniTest 735 has an external probe which combines high precision & ease of use on objects difficult to access.
  • MiniTest 745 top model in the series offering convenience through its flexible design, has a built-in probe that can easily be converted into an external probe.

The MiniTest 700 range is ideal for non-destructive coating thickness measurement of:

  • Non-magnetic coatings like varnishes, enamels, chromium and zinc on ferromagnetic base materials (e.g. steel)
  • Insulating coatings like varnishes and anodized aluminium on non-ferrous metals (e.g. aluminium, austenitic stainless steel, brass).

Each model is available as a dedicated ferrous, non-ferrous or dual purpose gauge and various probes are available depending on your application.

All models are equipped with a Bluetooth interface for wireless data transfer to a PC, Tablet-PC or smartphone.  As an alternative, data transfer can also be made via a conventional USB connection.
